TechEd 2008 Orlando

30 05 2008

I was just jamming the last stuff into my suitcase for the 13 hour trip to Orlando tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to next week’s TechEd Developers North America. There is a nice lineup of sessions and of course the location is not bad at all. A friend has already pointed out the best bars and clubs, so I’ll guess it will be more than just "tech-ing".

This time around, I have absolutely no clue whatsoever who will and won’t be going. So  if you are reading this and also heading for Orlando, leave me a message.

But, as for most conferences, I just hope to meet a lot of new interesting people from all over the world. I find other peoples thoughts so refreshing imageand interesting, it really helps me keep the world in some kind of focus :)

One thing I had forgotten is that the weather over there is 30, instead of the 20 degrees that it is here right now. So I’m going to run to the stores right now and by me some shorts and short sleeve shirts or I’ll die in my normal outfit :-)

UPDATE: Just checked the weather forecast, it will be 30 degrees and raining :(

I will try to keep you posted with some nice pictures and maybe even some "juicy" stories ;-)

Stay in the light!

Zune Game Development with XNA

8 05 2008

When I first saw the title, I thought they were making a joke. But it is true. With the next version of XNA Game Studio you can develop games for your zune!.

XNA 3.0 CTP works with all C# versions of Visual Studio XNA2008, it works only for Zune and Windows development (Not xbox develkopment yet) and it has no 64bit support.

Let me know if you have created your first cool game, I’ll be the first to add it to my Zune :).
