Sincere congratulations with the Microsoft employment contract. Sure you are delighted. Have you taken it yet, or are you currently weighing the decision up - deciding whether or not to sacrifice your soul to the corporate beast? What is the exact position that you received? Was it what you went for?
Hows life outside of the world of work. Hope your travelling heaps (particularly to Germany and Prague!!! hahaha). How are the cats and the four hundred room chateau that you define as your principle residence!
As you could guess, my life has been incredibly hectic. Walked into a storm on my first day of work which has now been resolved. The last 6/7 days i have been in a conference in remote Victoria - the conference took place literally in the middle of no where - there were Kangaroos and snakes surrounding the premises! This made for an interesting time going for a run, particularly at dusk! Unfortunately this place was so off the beaten track that it did not register on my tomtom, and i had no phone or internet connection / access, hence my delayed response to your email. I think this place would have been your worst nightmare!!
Had an email from Tanja the other day and she said that you may want a chat. If so, my home (family) phone number is +61 3 9842 0072. Just remember that Holland is 8 hours behind us. Ideally if you call at 10am Sunday, it will be 6pm Sunday here.
Will leave it here now. Off to bed. Time to the count the sheep.
Hope your well and CONGRATULATIONS again.
Please send my best to all and lets chat soon.

Hey Robertjan,
Just seeing what is news in your world. How are you going packing up your life? Have heard much from Microsoft? Is the visa approved yet? What are you going to do with your cats? Have you been to Prague recently? How’s Sindy?
Not much news from my end. Getting pumped with work and thats about it. Looking at houses to buy as well, but no decisions made there yet.
Really looking forward to hearing from you.
When you coming to Aus?
Cheers,
Tris

Hey Robertjan,
Long time no speak. How’s life mate? Guess you only have two weeks left in Holland. Have a marvellous time. Eat as much bitter ballen, friekandal speciele and krokettes as you can, because soon it will be eating hot dogs and coca cola in xxxl style.
FYI: My phone number (at home is) +61 3 9842 0072 and my mobile number (work) is +61 427 057 842 so if you want to call me instead of typing a response please do so. Maybe quicker, and given your lack of time at the moment, this maybe the easiest way to get in touch.
Well life here has been going crazy. Work is keeping myself out of trouble (long days) - big project and major opportunities havecome about since we were last in contact, i have been offered in conjunction with a couple other colleagues (and friends) the chance to write a book about internal audit methodology and organisational transformation, as well as creating and teaching at a university course to masters and PHD students) so now i will be lecturing and tutoring students on the side (just in case i get bored at work!) Away from work my mum has been in and out of hospital (shes fine now), my football team yesterday just won the grand final (exciting news!) I am still searching for a house to live. Missed out on the one i wanted so now i am back to the drawing board.
So whats news with you? Any new lucky ladies on the scene? Been back to Prague or Germany lately?
How’s Tanja, Gideon and Deb, Joep and Marion etc. doing as well???
Can’t wait to hear all your news. Sure you are slowly getting a bit excited and a bit apprehesive with the impending changes in your life, but i am sure you will be an amazing success and you’ll have the time of your life.
Hey Robertjan.
Sorry for not getting back to you any sooner.
